'Kick-Ass' Star Aaron Johnson Says Sequel 'Would Be Great,' Confesses To Being Comics Newbie

Over the last few months, we've heard from "Kick-Ass" cast mates Chloe Moretz, Nicolas Cage, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Clark Duke and Mark Strong, but one person who we've heard very little from is Kick-Ass himself, Aaron Johnson.

In the film, Johnson plays high-schooler Dave Lizewski, a teenage comics fan who decides to try his hand at being a costumed vigilante, only to face some harsh realities about fighting crime. MTV News caught up with Johnson at the Sundance Film Festival to ask him about the film — specifically, whether he's spoken to director Matthew Vaughn or "Kick-Ass" comic co-creator Mark Millar about their plans for a sequel.

"We'll see, we'll see," said Johnson. "It would be great to do a sequel."

"Matthew's got a bunch of ideas. ... It would be very interesting, yeah," he added.

Johnson admitted that his comics savvy paled in comparison to co-star Clark Duke (who we previously spoke to about his comic-collecting habits), but he was fortunate to be surrounded by willing teachers.

"It was all quite a new experience for me," he said. "The part I play is a huge comic book fan, so I got a lot of influences on set. Also, working with Clark Duke, who plays my friend in it, he's a huge comic book fan."

"Unfortunately, I missed out on Comic-Con and things like that," he added.

Of course, if "Kick-Ass" is received as well by audiences as it has been by the select few who've seen it thus far, Johnson just might get his chance to see Comic-Con... when "Kick-Ass 2" comes around.

Kick Ass slammed for teen violence and swearing

The film Kick Ass, which stars Nicolas Cage, has come under fire from family groups in Australia for its strong language and sending a bad overall message.

Directed by Matthew Vaughn, Kick Ass is based on a comic strip and tells the story of a group of misfit superheroes.

One of them, Hit Girl, is played by Chloe Moretz, who is taught by her dad, played by Cage, to fight criminals with the utmost violence.

Scenes in which she shoots a man in the face and another where she uses bad language have been singled out as particularly offensive, but the whole tone of the film has been attacked.

The film has been given an MA rating in Australia, which means that people under 15 must be accompanied by an adult to watch it.

The rating has outraged family groups, but they claim they are reluctant to openly oppose the film for fear of generating more publicity for it.

"The language is offensive and the values inappropriate – without the saving grace of the bloodless victory of traditional superheroes," said John Morrissey, spokesman for the Australian Family Association.

Cat's Comment.

This is only a movie for goodness sake if these people showed as much concern for the real world as they are doing for this movie and 15 is a fair rating to see it as children do swear it does happen it is called LIFE what goes on in this movie isn't real its called acting and to be quite honest i am getting fed up of peoples narrow minded remarks by attacking this movie and making it out to be the only movie in history that shows violence there have been violent films from Australia with teens in them so forgive me Australian family group is i dont agree with your narrow minded opinions on this movie. What about when Natalie Portman did the professional and Leon. These people obviously dont want to see the movie so they are trying to dictate to other people to do the same if they don't want to see the movie then fine but do not shove it down other peoples throats by trying to get them to not see it neither. I will say this they can't stop their kids from seeing it after all they will see it behind their parents backs or are these people ignorant aswell!

"People should learn not to talk about something they haven't seen yet"

Kick Ass will more than likely get a 15 rating in the UK 15 is the equivalent to America's R Rating

Staying safe online

There are lots of sites around that allow you to talk to other people on the web Social Websites And Windows Live messenger Yahoo Messenger. Chat rooms give you the chance to have a conversation with other people and get instant replies. Online message boards and forums let you post questions or comments and ask other users to give their opinion in their own time.

It can be a great way to chat to other people who share your interests, but you should always be careful not to pass on any of your personal details. You should always keep in mind that internet users can pretend to be anyone they like. They can lie about their age, their interests and whether they're male or female. No matter how long you've been chatting, remember that they're still strangers; you don't really know them at all.

Social networks
Some of you may have your own Bebo account or Facebook profile that lets you chat with friends or communicate with other users who share your interests. These 'social networks' let you create your own blog, upload photos and videos for others to see and add people to an online friends list.

Social networks are a great way of keeping in touch but you should think carefully before adding someone to your list of online friends or posting a blog entry that could get you into trouble at school, college or work. Remember:

* your page is still a public place, so putting anything on your page that you wouldn't want your parents, teacher or boss to see is not a good idea
* you can never be sure that other users are being truthful about their online identities, so be careful about what information you give out
* to think about whether you know someone well enough before accepting someone into your group of linked friends
* to make sure you know who to contact to report abuse or bullying on your page and how your complaint will be dealt with.

REMEMBER!

Never give out any personal information about you IE: where you live and your telephone number where you work or your school college university.

Online Predators
Unfortunately for many the internet is also a dark place as social networks and chat rooms can also be riddled with pedophiles etc NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR AGE OR WHERE YOU LIVE remember you don't know them in the real world you aren't clear of who they are

Identity theft
this is increasingly becoming more alarming be aware of emails especially when they claim to be from your bank asking you to verify information such as pin numbers and account numbers for your credit card etc BANKS DO NOT DO THIS!

Here IS The Shocking Part

You may not find out that your identity has been stolen until you try to apply for a credit card and you're told that you already owe money to a number of companies. You could also find out if you apply for benefits and are told that you seem to be already claiming them.

Keeping your identity safe

Your identity and personal details are as valuable to criminals as your mobile phone and your wallet, so you should take the same amount of care to protect them. As well as using your common sense to keep your cards and passwords safe, there are more specific ways you can protect your details:

* rip up, shred or burn your receipts safely before you throw them away to make sure your card number cannot be seen
* if you're about to go to university, don't change your address with your bank until you're happy that your personal mail will be safe
* if you've just moved, set up a mail re-direct with the Post Office for at least a year, this will make sure that all your mail will be sent to your new address automatically - you should also change your address with your bank and other companies as soon as possible

Haiti gov't says 150K bodies recovered in capital

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti – The confirmed death toll from Haiti's devastating earthquake has topped 150,000 in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area alone, the communications minister said Sunday, with many more thousands dead around the country or still buried under the rubble.

Communications minister Marie-Laurence Jocelyn Lassegue told The Associated Press that the figure is based on a body count in the capital and outlying areas by CNE, a state company that has been collecting corpses and burying them in a mass grave north of Port-au-Prince. It does not include other affected cities such as Jacmel, where thousands are believed dead, nor does it account for bodies burned by relatives.

The United Nations said Saturday the government had confirmed 111,481 bodies; all told, authorities have estimated 200,000 dead from the magnitude-7.0 quake, according to Haitian government figures cited by the European Commission.

"Nobody knows how many bodies are buried in the rubble — 200,000, 300,000?" Lassegue said. "Who knows the overall death toll?"

Experts say chances are slim that more survivors will be found in that debris, although rescuers pulled a man buried for 11 days in the wreckage on Saturday.

Crews dug a tunnel through the rubble of a fruit and vegetable shop to reach Wismond Exantus, who is in his 20s. He was placed on a stretcher and given intravenous fluids as onlookers cheered, and later told the AP he survived by diving under a desk during the quake and later consuming some cola, beer and cookies in the cramped space.

"I was hungry, but every night I thought about the revelation that I would survive," Exantus said from his hospital bed.

Haiti's government has declared an end to searches for living people trapped under debris, and officials are shifting their focus to caring for the thousands of survivors living in squalid, makeshift camps.

U.N. relief workers said the shift is critical: While deliveries of food, medicine and water have ticked up after initial logjams, the need continues to be overwhelming and doctors fear outbreaks of disease in the camps.

In the notorious slum of Cite Soleil, the site of some looting and violence since the quake, U.S. and Brazilian soldiers handed out food and water Sunday morning to thousands of men, women and children who lined up at a health center.

The U.S. soldiers brought 2,000 food rations, 75,000 high-energy biscuits and 9,000 bottles of water, while the Brazilians had 8 tons of food in small bags of uncooked beans, salt, sugar and sardines, as well as 15,000 liters of water.

Lunie Marcelin, 57, said her entire family — including six grown children who live with her — survived the quake, but they had no money to buy food.

The handouts "will help us, but it is not enough," she said. "We need more."

In the United States, organizers of the all-star "Hope for Haiti Now" telethon said Saturday that the event raised $57 million — and counting. The two-hour telethon aired Friday night and was also streamed live online. Stars such as Brad Pitt, Beyonce, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen and more used their presence to encourage donations for Haiti.

As many as 200,000 people have fled Port-au-Prince, a city of 2 million, according to the U.S. Agency for International Development. About 609,000 people are homeless in the capital's metro area, and the United Nations estimates that up to 1 million could leave Haiti's destroyed cities for rural areas already struggling with extreme poverty.

The U.S. Geological Survey said Sunday it has recorded 52 aftershocks of magnitude 4.5 or greater since the Jan. 12 quake.

A seven-year-old boy has raised over £30,000 to help survivors of the Haitian earthquake

Charlie Simpson, from Fulham in south-west London, is cycling five miles around his local park to raise funds for Unicef's Haiti Earthquake Children's Appeal.

He had hoped to raise £500 but as news of his challenge spread pledges flooded into his appeal.

On his JustGiving page, Charlie said: "I want to do a sponsored bike ride for Haiti because there was a big earthquake and loads of people have lost their lives.

"I want to make some money to buy food, water and tents for everyone in Haiti.

"I am going to cycle around South Park as many times as possible. Please can you sponsor me and all your money will go to Unicef who are collecting for Haiti."

Charlie's mother Leonora told Sky News that the idea was her son's alone.

"He saw news of the tragedy on television and said he wanted to do something and the bike ride was born from that."

Charlie's father Dan is taking him round the track with sister Alice and mum cheering him on.

Unicef is providing emergency relief on water, sanitation, education and nutrition as well as supporting child protection.

Unicef's David Bull said: "This is a very bold and innovative gesture by Charlie that shows he connects with and not only understands what children his own age must be going through in Haiti but is also wise enough to know that he can help them.

"The little seed - his idea - that he has planted has grown rapidly and his is a place well-deserved in the humanitarian world.

"On behalf on the many children in Haiti, I thank Charlie for his effort."

77-Year-Old Geezer Pays Lindsay Lohan to Be His Date for Opera

"Lindsay Lohan has been hired by an eccentric Austrian millionaire to be his date at the opera. Girl's gotta make a buck somehow, eh?

Richard Lugner, a shopping mall owner, invites a different famous girl to accompany him each year in his private box at the Vienna Opera Ball."

Lindsay Lohan doesn't get many calls from movie producers, record companies (wonder why?) or corporations seeking a celeb spokesperson. Lilo has got to find a way to pay for her Red Bull habit, trashy outfits and party girl lifestyle. To the rescue comes decrepit gazilionaire Richard Luger who paid Lohan a small fortune to be his date at the opera.

Lilo has probably never been to the opera in her life, but for the right price the ditzy celeb will attend a lecture on string theory. One night at the opera with a filthy rich old man equals a hundred nights of debauchery.

Lohan is desperate to make a buck, I wouldn't be surprised if she dumps Samantha Ronson and marries the old goat. The marriage wouldn't last very long, one night with the freak-a-leak celeb and the old geezer's heart will give out.

I hope Lohan enjoys her date with Lugner, now she can add "escort" to her sterling resume.
